Steckman Pilates and Wellness is a classical Pilates studio following the original teachings that Joesph Pilates developed and the three guiding principles of Pilates, Whole Body Health, Whole Body Commitment, and Breath. We approach the whole body developing the physical body, the mind, and spirit, which can be achieved through exercise/movement, proper eating habits, good hygiene and sleep, plenty of sunshine and fresh air, and work life balance. We empower you to develop a strong mind and body to live your best life! Amanda graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Nutrition, with a minor in Gerontology. During college she began personal training at the KSU recreational center and also worked in long term care as a CNA in the dementia and Alzheimer’s unit. Shortly after moving to Atlanta she discovered Pilates and instantly fell in love! Amanda got comprehensively trained through Power Pilates and found that clients were getting better results from Pilates, over coming plateaus, and over all feeling better. Pilates gets results and works! Over the years she has helped clients of all ages and goals creating customized programs, challenging, motivating, and guiding clients along the way. Amanda is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and incorporates Pilates principles into her personal training. She holds several other speciality certifications such as TRX ST & SMST, Kettlebell Concept L1, Biomechanics Corrective Exercise Specialist, Trigger Point Total Body Self-Myofascial Release, VIPR, Precision Nutrition L1, and in the process of becoming a Rapid Transformational Therapist.
