About Us

Our Beginning Summerwind Jewelers was founded by Melvin Reisz in Ogunquit, Maine in 1972. During the early years in Perkins Cove, Mel was a jack-of-all-trades. He worked all winter long hand fabricating silver and gold bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces. Some people remember and still have a piece of Summerwind history in the form of his famous "Beaten Circle" collection. During the summer months, he would be at the shop from sun-up to sun-down ensuring everyone that left that day left with at least a smile and admiration for the love he poured into his work. Our Future Summerwind Jewelers is passionate about growing relationships with our community and creating meaningful change in the lives of our clients and neighbors. Our goal is to provide unique, high-quality jewelry and services for our clients in a comfortable, collaborative, and inclusive environment where every client feels valued, respected, and has an exceptional experience every time they enter our store.
