About Us

The Goddard School - Lee's Summit (Lakewood) is a preschool for children ages 6 weeks - PreK. Our staff of 30 educators are experienced, Early Childhood Education professionals providing the highest quality of care for our students. We believe in learning through play in a nurturing environment where children feel safe & secure. We are STEAM based and focus on 21st Century Learning; the concepts of Critical thinking, Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration are all taught and encouraged at our school! We are a school family and view our staff, families, and students as just that. Our Director of Education has been in the preschool industry for 30 over years. Our Director of Operations has her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Development. Our onsite owner is a mom to two young children herself, and the first-hand experience of needing high quality childcare for her boys was the driving force behind opening The Goddard School.
