WR Mitchell Contracting has experience in various commercial sectors, but exercise facilities typically have interesting elements to address, and our team has innovative ways to make these projects successful.
Our partnership with Pepper Boxing in Atlanta (pictured above) required a free standing steel structure to be built within the space to carry the load of a total of (21) boxing punching bags weighing roughly 250 pounds each. This 5,000 square foot group fitness and boxing studio has been operational and thriving since December 2021.
Hotworx is a facility that offers virtually instructed workouts for customers to experience infrared heat absorption during either 30 minute Isometic workouts or 15 minute High Intensity Interval Training. We have completed two Hotworx projects in Kennesaw (2021) and Douglasville (2022). Understandably these type of hot saunas require significant power. Electrical service upgrades were required for both locations that we built requiring us to shut down the building and several tenants to pull new electric service and set new panels to carry the power load. According to the owner, Morgan Shattuck of Hotworx Kennesaw, "Will and his team did such an incredible job on the build out of HOTWORX Kennesaw! We’ve been open for nearly 2 years with very little issues thanks to his meticulous attention to detail!! We would 100% use him again the future!"
Our current partnership with Real Hot Yoga in Suwanee, Georgia is allowing our team to tackle installing three large humidifiers and a furnace to force hot humidity into the room for yoga classes. These two systems combine together to produce hot steam to fill the studio with humidity of 40-50%. Additionally, we are incorporating a UV air filtration system to remove 99% of germs, bacteria, viruses, and odors. With WR Mitchell Contracting's attention to details and open communication with our clients, we can tackle more complex designs with ease. Real Hot Yoga Suwanee is anticipated to open early spring.
