Be More, Do More In 2024

Restore Hyper Wellness Enhances Your Vitality

Every January, thoughts and focus for many turn from holiday excess and indulgence to setting new goals and intentions. Many of those center around health, but most New Year’s resolutions are quickly forgotten if they aren’t clear and realistic. This year, make those goals a reality by trying something totally “outside the box” (and super easy) that doesn’t involve sweating for hours on a treadmill.

Restore Hyper Wellness

Restore Hyper Wellness, headquartered in Austin, Texas, with more than 233 locations nationwide, offers a whole-body integrative approach to health and healing. Services are for clients of any age–from young athletes to older adults and people looking to counteract aging and degenerative changes by leveraging their bodies’ natural healing abilities. Restore provides a comfortable environment with affordable access to holistic treatments that help clients “do more” of what they love.

Husband and wife owners Dwayne and Karen Duprey are excited to bring this innovative offering for vitality and healing to Portsmouth. The Dupreys are no strangers to the health and wellness industry. Many in the community may know them as the former owners of the New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont Orangetheory Fitness locations.

Restore offers four core service modalities–Cryotherapy, Compression, Red Light Therapy, and Infrared Sauna. Karen notes that local and whole-body cryotherapy treatments are among the most popular. She attributes cryotherapy’s popularity to its efficiency—each session lasts only two and a half or three minutes—and its health benefits, which include boosting mood, energy, and sleep, as well as promoting tissue healing and pain relief.

Compression provides cyclical pressure to extremities to promote lymphatic drainage and help ease muscle aches while relaxing in the comfort of a luxurious recliner. The infrared sauna uses infrared radiation to generate mild electromagnetic waves that induce intentional thermal stress on the body. It improves circulation, energy, heart health, and tissue detoxification. Red light therapy employs light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that focus on cellular mitochondria to boost cell turnover, optimize sleep, improve energy and mood, and relieve pain and inflammation.

"Some people like to piggyback treatments to take advantage of the many offerings and enhance the healing benefits," Karen explains. “Clients often do the whole body cryotherapy and then go into the infrared sauna or the red light to add some heat/cold activity therapy benefits.”

Restore also offers specialized services like their popular customized IV drip therapy to support immunity, recovery, and energy. Other wellness treatments include mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Circadia Oxygen facials for skin radiance, and a range of non-invasive cosmetic cryoskin treatments like CryoSlimming and CryoToning. Each enhances your healing, mood, and cognition and works naturally with your body’s innate processes.

Walking into Restore Hyper Wellness, clients experience a clean, open, and welcoming environment that is less clinical and more spa-like than you might expect.

Registered nurses help guide your choice of services and approaches to best suit your specific needs. The process begins with a thorough health history, assessing for any possible risks or contraindications that may eliminate particular treatments from the roster. The medical staff also administers services and monitors adherence to strict clinical protocols to ensure client safety.

"Each treatment is customized. There’s no cookie-cutter service or frequency approach. It all depends on the person and what they need and want,” says Karen. “We talk about what you’re looking for and why you came to see us." We can then suggest a treatment plan with a course of action.” With that in mind, Karen also recognizes that new clients may come into Restore with a specific service in mind but are surprised by the range of other excellent options to support their overall well-being.

With varying monthly membership levels, clients can try whichever services they might be interested in. You can even modify or freeze your membership as needed. As a bonus, members can visit other locations throughout the country, so snowbirds and frequent travelers should take note. Restore Hyper Wellness should be near the top of your list if you’re looking for a simple and efficient way to keep your New Year’s Resolutions all year.
