During Pandemic, Oaks Christian Offers Tutoring

With schools now on remote learning, busy parents are scrambling to help their students stay on track and keep their education moving forward. Many parents are also adjusting to working remotely themselves, and so the challenge to keep their students academically engaged can be overwhelming.

As parents adjust, feelings of frustration, inadequacy and just sheer exhaustion can impede their genuine desire to help their students succeed. Many schools and districts have given parents learning plans and access to resources for their students. And while those parents thankfully utilize offered resources, some find themselves in need of a little more personalized attention.

Parents looking for extra help can consider the Learning Center at Oaks Christian.

For over a decade, Oaks Christian School has offered their students help through their on-campus Learning Center. During COVID-19, they are offering help to non-OCS students from both public and private schools in grades K -12.

“During this time, we offer tutoring to non-OCS students in order to serve the greater community. We believe in our services, that we have the best tutors around and know that we can help students achieve their academic goals,” said Learning Center Director Dr. Kelly Johnson. “What makes us unique is that we don’t stop at tutoring specific content. We empower students to thrive by encouraging them to advocate for themselves and to be self-reliant lifelong learners, skills that will outlasts this pandemic.”

 Services offered include:

  • Daytime, evening and weekend times available
