Feeling Right At Home

With Wilco Dental

An inviting, home-like environment. Smiling, familiar faces. State-of-the-art technology. And a dentist who exemplifies the epitome of compassion with her warm, fun-loving personality. Welcome to WILCO DENTAL, conveniently located in Tollgate Village next to Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, where Dr. Johnna Hayman and her amazing staff ensure that every patient feels
calm, relaxed, and right at home.

Wanting to be inclusive for patients coming from all parts of Williamson County, the name says it all - ‘WIL’ for ‘Williamson;’ ‘CO’ for ‘County.’ “My husband and I moved our family from Chicago to Tennessee in 2015 and never looked back.”

Dr. Hayman grew up in a small farming town in Indiana where her mother, a hairdresser, owned a salon attached to their house. She watched her mom build long-term relationships while running a business and wanted the same for herself. She focuses on family and cosmetic dentistry noting, “I started college wanting to be a reporter for "Dateline." After one semester, healthcare seemed a better fit and I switched my major to science. What I love about dentistry is it combines science and healthcare with artistry; it’s detailed, challenging, and precise working in such a small area.”

“My goal was for the office to feel more like a living room than a medical waiting room,” she shares. “People are nervous enough at the dentist and I wanted it to feel as homey as possible. I specifically looked at home interior design for inspiration and wanted a neutral, calming effect.” Dr. Hayman continues, “A lot of patients feel nervous at the dentist, to the point where they avoid going. This
is understandable, as it puts you in a very vulnerable position. We offer nitrous to help ease the nerves of kids, and some adults, to make visits as stress free as possible.”

WILCO’s digital scanner and CAD CAM technology allow Dr. Hayman to make crowns in the office. “You can lay back and watch Netflix, or listen to your air pods and relax, while we make the crown in one visit,” she notes.

“I wanted to start my own practice to provide a non-corporate owned option for patients looking for a more personal experience. This location and community could not be a better fit; we love serving the people of Thompson’s Station and Williamson County!”
