J.Wild's BBQ Serves Up A Mouthwatering Feast For The Senses

"I could smell the BBQ from blocks away," I heard a patron say when entering J.Wild's Livery & Feed located at 614 Sutter Street on the bustling corner of Sutter & Riley Streets in Historic Folsom. The atmosphere inside is charming and family-friendly, making it a perfect place to catch NFL football on Sundays featured across 15+ HD screens or listen to live music with local artists on Wednesday evenings.

J.Wild's offers 100% natural Durham ranch brisket burgers, and signature smoked meats like tri-tip, brisket, pork ribs, and half chicken. The food and service are great, and even though their hot off-the-smoker meats are the stars of the show, we were pleased to know that J.Wild’s menu also offers options for vegetarian, plant-based, and gluten-free meals. Plus, they have an impressive selection of over 60 whiskeys to choose from.

Sammy and James Youmans are second-generation owners with a 20-year family presence on Sutter Street. Sammy is the daughter of Eric Schnetz, the founder of Chicago Fire Pizza. Paying homage to their deep community roots, Sammy and James decided to name the restaurant J.Wild’s in honor of the first commercial use of the building, dating back to 1902 when John Wild originally opened the location as a Livery and Feed store. There is a beautiful hand-painted mural inside depicting the street as it looked back then.

If you're looking for a tasty bite on Sutter Street, just follow your nose to J. Wild's.
