When Christina Passanise launched Wink iBoutique Lash & Brow Bar in 2016, it was the region's first beauty salon to focus on facial features with her own distinct brand of eyelash extensions and chemical-free adhesives.
Christina offered quality lashes with the safest new adhesives on the market, along with her passion for helping women feel and look their best. Many of her clients immediately recognized she was providing the most desired products and treatments available.
"We were the first lash and brow bar to offer our own exclusive brand in St. Louis," she says.
Shortly thereafter, she was dubbed the "Brow Queen" by her clients.
Learning from years in the lash industry and as a licensed esthetician, Christina says she firmly understood how vital it was to get the right lashes fit for each individual.
This beauty expert holds more than five certifications in lash extensions, skin treatments, airbrush makeup artistry, micro-pigmentation and micro-blading. She established a four-month apprenticeship program for her staff and a certification program for students.
"All of our licensed technicians have been highly trained in our classic and volume applications," she says.
In fact, Christina and her staff now perform six to seven semi-permanent brow applications each day of their operations.
"Fuller brows adds youth to any face," she adds.
She's had opportunities to provide flawless makeup applications for brides on their big days, as well.
"One of the ways we can best help is preparing brides for weddings, such as getting their skin in order," Christina says.
They also have makeup stations so clients can try makeup applications and approaches prior to weddings and other special events.
Serious brow devotees flock to Christina and her team for their signature 3D Eyebrow Sculpting application, which is a technique that transforms sparse brows into perfectly symmetrical plush arches that elegantly frame the face.
While micro-pigmentation is considered permanent makeup, micro-blading is superfluous and deemed semi-permanent. Christina says micro-blading generally lasts more than a year.
"Unlike the harsh block tattooing of the past, 3D Eyebrow Sculpting looks completely natural because it mimics real brow hair and can be individually customized. Depending on your needs, brows can be subtly colored or completely remodeled, as each new strand is intricately etched by hand," she says.
In addition to lash and brow treatments, Wink iBoutique offers Skin Med Spa services to hydrate, firm and give skin a radiant glow. Christina says she is expanding the Wink iBoutique Town & Country location to become a full medical spa, with a nurse injector on-staff and innovative skin treatments new to the St. Louis region.
