Wine Time

When families gather, good things happen.

The renovation of this bonus room in a downtown Roswell home now offers a sophisticated and warm gathering space for the family, with fine wine as the focus.

“The mix of materials helps the wine room feel like a cellar, but at the same time gives some warmth and elegance to the space,” says Scott Blair, managing partner of Rainey Blair Weidmann. “The warm wood shelves help break up the strong stone wall. The shelves also give a place to add some personal character to the room.”

Ranney Blair Weidmann added dark cabinets and dark quartz countertops to help bring in a transitional ambiance. With a strong showing of stone and tile in the room, the added wood backdrop to the cable wine system helps soften the tone.

Smart use of exterior rated steel and glass doors helps to keep the party noise from escaping upstairs. “While the doors help separate the space, they also offer a stunning greeting as you walk down the stairs into this magnificent wine room,” says Scott. Perfect!

“While this project is beautiful, the events around this project and family taught us a lot more. They taught us to cherish every moment with our families and loved ones. Celebrate their lives and recognize their influence in the world is more than meets the eye,” notes Scott.

Peter Rainey, Dan Weidmann and Scott work from their showroom and design center on Oak Street. They are passionate about creating a rewarding and enjoyable experience for clients, employees, and trade partners.
