Dr. Ruff’s commitment to excellence has garnered him numerous accolades, including being elected Outstanding Resident in Plastic Surgery. He was awarded scholarships from both the American College of Surgeons and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation and has presented at multiple regional and national symposiums. He won Best Scientific Poster at the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons meeting in 2015, and the Editor’s Choice Award from the Aesthetic Surgery Journal in 2016 for his publication on Safety in Body Contouring Procedures. He has written extensively in national scientific journals and has authored multiple chapters in plastic surgery textbooks on a variety of topics, including hair transplantation, pediatric burn care, lower extremity reconstruction, pressure sore reconstruction, and surgical materials.
