A Commitment to Community

A Personal Perspective on Parker County Real Estate

The population of Parker County has grown by almost 44% in the last 30 years, according to the United States census records. With that growth comes investment opportunities, newly developed land and neighborhoods, and an abundance of housing options for those looking to put down roots in the area.

As the CEO of Worthington Realty & Investments, Brooke Ladouceur has a deep understanding of both the local and national real estate markets. In a recent interview, Ladouceur shared her expert opinions and an in-depth look at what steps families and investors can expect when it comes to searching for the perfect property in Parker County.

What do you think makes the Weatherford/Parker County area a prime region for housing development?

I love this question because Parker County has never felt like something I need to “sell.” My passion for this area comes from a genuine love and deep personal connection, not from financial motivation. I was born in Weatherford, my father was born here, and my grandfather helped establish one of the town’s earliest institutions—Weatherford National Bank. These roots run deep, and they give me a profound respect for both the history and the future of this community.

I’m incredibly proud to live here and equally proud to have watched my husband invest a significant portion of what he earned with the Dallas Cowboys back into the land of Parker County—investing not just in property, but in the people and the long-term growth of this area. This is my home, and it always will be. I was born here, I plan to die here, and I look forward to playing a meaningful role in every chapter in between.

What would you say makes a neighborhood truly feel like home?

This question is exactly what guided my husband and me when building the three communities we’ve developed. To us, a neighborhood truly feels like home when it’s safe, welcoming, and rooted in connection. It’s a place where children can play outside freely, families feel secure, and neighbors share similar values and respect for one another.

We also believe the best communities are multi-generational. Older residents bring wisdom, patience, and a watchful presence, while younger families and children bring energy, joy, and life. That balance creates a sense of belonging where people look out for one another, relationships grow naturally, and every generation plays a role in shaping the community.

For someone considering buying in one of your developments, what are the top three things you want them to know?

First, communication and long-term commitment matter. I’ve seen too many developers enter a city, complete the first phase, collect their profits, and disappear—leaving unfinished plans, shifting restrictions, and communities that slowly decline. That is not how we operate. I’m not going anywhere. My office is at 1701 Santa Fe Drive in Weatherford, Texas—you always know where to find me. I welcome questions, conversations, and accountability, and I believe strong communication is what protects the integrity of a community over time.

Second, we build communities we’re proud to live in. I personally live in our first development and reside directly next to our other two. I would live in any of our developments without hesitation, and that pride comes from the care and attention my husband has poured into every detail.

Third, each development offers a distinct lifestyle. Bluebonnet Ridge is designed for those who value space and freedom. You can have horses or cattle, build large metal shops, and truly enjoy an equestrian-friendly lifestyle. Summit Ranch, on the other hand, offers a more refined country feel. It’s just ten minutes from the highway, sits at the peak of Aledo with incredible views, and provides a more upscale environment with architectural restrictions that preserve its polished aesthetic.

What’s your approach when working with different types of clients?

Each type of client requires a different approach. With first-time homebuyers, I intentionally slow the process down. I walk them through every step carefully, explain the details thoroughly, and practice a great deal of patience—because this is often the biggest and most personal purchase they’ll ever make.

When working with investors or commercial clients, the approach shifts. Those transactions are driven by numbers, strategy, and timing, with far less emotion involved. In those cases, I’m more direct, analytical, and efficient, so decisions can be made quickly and confidently.

At the end of the day, my goal is to meet clients exactly where they are. Whether it’s a family buying a home where they’ll create years of memories or an investor focused on returns, I tailor my pace, communication, and strategy to ensure each client receives the attention and expertise their situation deserves.

How do you help clients feel confident when making big real estate decisions in an ever-changing market?

I believe confidence comes from clear, transparent communication. I make it a priority to educate my clients on realistic expectations—I don’t sugarcoat the process. I’m direct and honest because clarity builds trust. Beyond that, I focus on listening closely to their goals, concerns, and timelines so every decision feels intentional rather than reactive. In an ever-changing market, my role is to be both an advocate and a steady guide to get them to the end goal - the closing.

How do you stay busy and get involved in the community outside of real estate?

I’ve always held myself to very high standards, and I tend to overextend because failure has never felt like an option. Serving my community has been a major part of my life—from spending seven years on the Center of Hope board and seven years on the Chandor Gardens board, chairing multiple local galas, and previously serving on the Parker County Health Foundation board. Volunteering is truly one of my greatest passions. I’ve coached girls’ basketball for over four years at Trinity Christian Academy, and even taken on roles that were more demanding than rewarding—such as serving as HOA president for Rancho Vista Estates for 13 years and later for Bluebonnet Ridge—because I believed it was for the greater good of the community. I also founded Flourishing Faith, a nonprofit for the women of Parker County, after seeing how many women were exhausted, overworked, and often underappreciated.

In 2026, I officially took over Worthington Realty & Investments from my parents, stepping into the role of CEO. With that transition, I’ve become more intentional about setting boundaries—especially with volunteer commitments—so I can be more present with my family. One of the most meaningful rhythms in our home is that we prioritize family dinners. Even on busy nights, we gather at the table to share the highs and lows of our day, prepare the meal together, and clean up together. It’s a tradition passed down from both my parents and my husband’s parents, and it’s something we deeply value.

While I may struggle at times with doing too much, I’m never confused about my priorities. My strength comes from God’s Holy Spirit and the peace He has given me—peace that truly surpasses all understanding. I know I could never do any of this on my own, and all glory and honor ultimately belong to Him.
