My name is Tana. Here is a bit more about myself, my venue, and my horse, Trent.
I am the owner of Country Weddings and Events in Hooper, Utah, located on our historic family property, which was purchased in the late 1800s. I’d like to introduce you to my friend Trent, an 18.3-hand Percheron weighing 2,400 pounds. The Percheron breed originates from the former Perche Province in western France. We purchased Trent from Young Living, where he was part of their World Champion six-hitch team. He is a proud horse who loves meeting people and plays a central role at our venue by pulling our wedding carriage and offering guests rides with views of our island, fountains, and local wildlife.
Our property is a versatile, rustic, and elegant wedding venue, as well as a working family farm where we raise hay for our Wagyu cattle and care for various farm animals. Bordering a bird refuge, the land is also home to diverse wildlife, including Canadian geese, blue herons, and sandhill cranes. My son, Frank, drives the carriage and manages the property full-time.
Our venue’s unique history began when a horse broke our old bridge. After we rebuilt it, someone asked to be married there. Since then, we have transformed our working barn into a reception hall and the arena into a guest parking lot. Our entire team goes above and beyond to ensure every couple enjoys a stress-free experience.
