INGREDIENTS
For the Burgers
- 4 Southern Steer Wagyu 1/3 lb Burger Patties
- Kosher salt
- Fresh cracked black pepper
- 4 brioche burger buns

- Caramelized onions

DIRECTIONS
- Remove Wagyu burger patties from the refrigerator and let them rest at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until fully heated.
- Season patties generously on both sides with kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper just before cooking.
- Place patties onto the grill or skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on the first side without pressing down. Allow a deep golden-brown crust to form before flipping.
- Flip patties once and continue cooking for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, adjusting time slightly based on preferred doneness. Wagyu benefits from medium-rare to medium to retain its buttery texture.
- Add cheese during the final minute of cooking and loosely cover the pan or grill to encourage even melting.
- While burgers finish cooking, butter brioche buns and toast cut-side down until lightly crisp and golden.
- Assemble burgers by layering patties onto toasted buns and adding desired toppings and sauces.
- Serve immediately while warm and juicy, letting the quality of the meat take center stage.
