From the Ground Up

Local ladies transform your home, without a major renovation

When speaking with mother and daughter-in-law duo, Gemini and Sage Boas, their love for each other and doing life together shines through. The pair, who have known each other all of Sage’s life, have a fun backstory that explains their close connection.

“My mom and Gemini were best friends in the third grade,” shared Sage. “Gemini is probably one of the first people who met me, and the cute part of our story is that now I'm married to her son Powell.”

In December of 2022, Gemini and her husband, Richard, came alongside Sage and Powell to open Full Circle Cleaning & Restoration Services, with Sage and Gemini working side by side as co-owners. As the company name implies, owning a carpet cleaning and restoration company is a full-circle moment for the family.

Richard, who started in the industry in the late 1980s, first purchased a carpet cleaning business with Gemini ten years later. Since then, he has owned and provided consulting services for companies specializing in carpet cleaning as well as water and fire damage restoration. Powell began working alongside his father in the industry as a young teen and continued in the field as an adult. By merging their field experience with Sage’s experience in graphic design, Gemini’s experience in office management, and both ladies’ experience in cultivating relationships, it is a recipe for family and business success.

“This has been fun for us, and I love that we are a woman-owned business,” said Gemini. “When we were talking about opening the company, I think Sage and I both thought we were just going to be the wives supporting the husbands.”

“But we decided it would be best for us to own it, more than just on paper,” added Sage. “The guys are out doing the hands-on stuff and we get to focus on building relationships with businesses and making sure the people we are working for and with are happy. We like to take it a step further than just a business relationship, we like to know who we're working with and build a relationship with them. We both love people so that works well for us.”

Full Circle offers services including cleaning, repairing, patching, stretching, and dying carpets. “Carpet repair is our specialty. It offers a solution to people who can't afford to, or don't want to, replace their carpet,” explained Sage. “Our carpet technicians are extremely skilled and detail-oriented. We take pride in the quality of our work and the fact that 99% of untrained eyes would not be able to pick out a patch or seam in the carpet after our work is complete. Because we value integrity above all, we are always available for questions and will be honest about whether your carpet can be repaired or if our recommendation is to replace it.”

They also provide routine housekeeping services for homes and offices as well as special deep cleans for occasions such as the changing of the seasons, prepping homes for the real estate market, and rental properties between occupants. “We work with real estate agents whenever they want a deep clean for a home going on the market,” said Sage. “They also refer us to buyers who want a home thoroughly cleaned before they move in.”

For water damage situations, Full Circle provides emergency response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in addition to the follow-up restoration process. “If there is a flood, we come out with our van and suck out all the water,” explained Gemini. “Then, we perform the dry-out process using the most up-to-date equipment, including inner-wall drying systems, dehumidifiers, and industrial air movers.”

Gemini and Richard’s experience in the restoration side of the industry is a bonus because they have a firm understanding of the insurance side of restoration. “They have the knowledge and can go into a situation when people are overwhelmed from a flood and have a more helpful approach,” shared Sage. “So, we go into it knowing what insurance is going to want and can provide that extra level of experience in setting our customers up for success with the dry out and restoration process.”

Even during middle-of-the-night emergency situations, the Boas family loves and appreciates that they are in this together. “We're also a family that likes to have a good time,” said Sage. “It makes the rough times a little more fun. Plus, the family business part extends beyond our immediate family. We have a lot of our employees who are family or friends with each other. It makes hard situations easier when we know we’re in it all together.”
