According to the website, the race is a joint fundraising event of the Chamblee High School Blue and Gold Foundation and the Chamblee Middle School Education Foundation.
Ben Bryant, race director, parent, and Blue & Gold Foundation board member, who is also an avid runner, says the proceeds from the race are split between the two foundations. “Fundraising is a big part of it. But for me, I love the community aspect and the camaraderie of building that spirit among the schools,” Ben says.
