For many, the world of finance can feel like a labyrinth of complex terms and uncertain paths. It’s a landscape where numbers often overshadow the human stories behind them. But for Stacy Chamberlain, a financial advisor with Edward Jones since 2003, the human story is the entire point. She has built a career not on transactions, but on transformations, guiding everyday people through life’s most significant financial moments with a steady hand and a compassionate heart.
"I was drawn to Edward Jones for the ethics; they put clients first," Stacy shared. "The company was exactly the type of company I wanted to work for. Putting my clients first was very important to me, as was educating and helping people. This is an area where many people feel they don't have the information they need, so it puts me in a position to educate people."
Her approach is simple: financial planning is life planning. Stacy cultivates long-term relationships with her clients, becoming a trusted partner in their journey. This isn't just about retirement accounts and investment portfolios; it's about understanding what matters to them. She helps people articulate their life goals—from funding a child's education to traveling the world—and then builds a financial strategy to make those dreams a reality.
One of the most challenging transitions anyone can face is the loss of a spouse. In these moments of grief, financial decisions can feel overwhelming and insurmountable. This is where Stacy’s role transcends that of a typical advisor. She provides a calm, clear voice, helping surviving partners navigate the immediate financial logistics and, more importantly, pivot toward a new future. Her guidance empowers them to regain their footing and redefine their goals with confidence, ensuring they feel secure and supported as they move forward.
Life’s complexities don’t stop there. Stacy has also become a go-to resource for those navigating complex financial dynamics, such as those in blended families. She helps couples merge their financial lives, plan for children from previous relationships, and create a unified strategy that honors everyone's needs. In addition, Stacy works with small business owners, helping them untangle personal and business finances, plan for succession, and realize the next steps for their entrepreneurial ventures. She understands that these situations require more than just financial acumen.
"Business owners are often busy with their own business and don't have time to worry about the finances," Stacy said.
Driven by a desire to help her clients make an even greater impact, Stacy is currently pursuing her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation. This specialized program equips advisors to help individuals and families achieve their charitable goals. By earning this designation, Stacy is broadening her ability to guide clients in creating a meaningful legacy, turning their financial success into a powerful force for good in their communities.
"I love working with people and the relationships," Stacy said. "Coaching them, even through difficult times, those relationships get to be pretty tight over a long period of time."
Outside of her professional life, Stacy shares an adventurous family life with her husband, Hammond, and their two daughters, Audrey and Sydney. Together, they love to travel, with trips to Costa Rica and London on the docket for this year, creating memories as they explore new places. Their home is bustling with the joys of their large and diverse pet family, which includes a dog, two cats, two geckos, two frogs, and a bearded dragon. Stacy also takes time for herself by walking several times a week, indulging her love for reading, and experimenting in the kitchen to create delicious meals.
