Inaugural Salt Lake Art Show

Bringing Global Art to Sandy

The first-ever Salt Lake Art Show will transform Sandy into a hub of artistic expression from May 14 to May 17, 2026.

Designed to refresh the traditional fine art fair experience, this new four-day, family-friendly community event promises an elegant, fun, and highly inclusive atmosphere for both seasoned art collectors and local enthusiasts.

The exhibition style is the brainchild of artist-executives Kevin O’Keefe and Briana Dolan. As a father-daughter team, they noticed that many major art shows across the country felt unwelcoming and suffered from heavy duplication in their featured galleries. Inspired by a strong desire for genuine connection in a post-pandemic world, Kevin and Briana developed a new framework that benefits artists, buyers, and the local community equally. They began with the Reno-Tahoe Art Show in 2022.

"This idea all came about due to the strangeness of Covid," Briana explained. "My husband and I, and my parents, all relocated to Reno. We learned after moving there that there were a tremendous number of artists working and living there, and many art organizations, but we wanted to meet the need for more cultural events.  We wanted to create something different than anything else we had seen in the art fairs we visited."

The Salt Lake Art Show is a welcoming environment that highlights a massive range of artistic media:

  • Global Galleries: An impressive selection of galleries and working studios visiting from around the world.
  • Monumental Sculptures: The nation's top sculptors, featuring large-scale works similar to those fabricated for events like Burning Man.
  • Regional Talent: A carefully curated lineup of standout independent artists from the surrounding area.
  • Native American Artistry: Leading contemporary Native American sculptors and artists showcasing vital, stunning pieces.
  • Local Utah Talent: Exceptional artists from Utah celebrating the vibrant, homegrown art scene.

Moving beyond traditional fine art, the experience encompasses a sprawling 10,000-square-foot Custom Furniture and Lighting showcase, an indoor Sculpture Walk, and a specialized First Nations and Indigenous Peoples Pavilion.
