“I know how hectic life can get for moms,” says Brandi Hardy, owner, and Nurse Practitioner at Kalon Aesthetics & Wellness. In addition to being a business owner, the mother of two young children has met many women in the community serving as a substitute nurse in D.S.I.S.D. “This has been a great welcoming community, and I’m glad I can give back in some sense,” she says.
Hardy boasts more than a decade of experience, including years in the operating room assisting in brain surgery. This background helps her business, Kalon Aesthetics & Wellness, stand apart from other aesthetic practices. “In surgery, you see everything below the skin,” she says. “It helps to better understand the complications.”
Hardy started her business as a mobile medspa, but in February this year, she established a physical home inside Blushing Belle Beauty Bar. “I treat patients like family,” she says. “I spend time with them. In the new space, I’m not racing to get out the door.”
She’s also surrounded by female-owned businesses, including a hair salon, two lash techs, a permanent makeup artist, and a microblading specialist. “It’s a one-stop shop. Nails, hair, injections,” Hardy says. “Women can get everything they need in one place.”
Kalon offers a wide variety of services including microneedling, skin smoothing treatments, and injections like BOTOX and b-12 shots. “Women are expressive. They want to feel young in their skin without making them feel overdone.”
Hardy also stands apart from the crowd as a nurse practitioner who offers primary care and telehealth visits for simple ailments like cold and flu symptoms. Her practice will continue to grow with an expanded focus on wellness.
“Women want to age gracefully,” says Hardy. “We want them to feel better in their skin.”
