This spring, Celina isn’t just getting a new dance studio; it’s gaining a heartbeat. Passion Dance Center is set to open it’s doors as the area’s largest dance complex, boasting over 9,000 square feet of space designed to be far more than just rooms with mirrors. Founded by April Mabrey, she believes that every girl has a voice and just needs the right stage to find it. This is a family-run labor of love built on the foundational words of 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of self-discipline”.
Dance Your Heart Out
At Passion Dance Center, the mission is simple yet profound: Build powerful dancers, grow servant leaders, and spread a passion for dance. From the outset, April sought to create a new standard in the dance world. Drawing inspiration from her daughter Luci’s journey as a high-level competitive and collegiate dancer, April wants to build a cozy, second-home environment - helping dancers find their focus in a place they feel they truly belong.
April and her team believe every dancer has a story to tell. Whether they’re finding their footing in the basics or preparing for the professional stages of tomorrow, Passion Dance Center coaches, instructors and curriculum is centered around each dancers individual growth. They focus on not only building skill, but the confidence and joy that comes from a life lived through dance.
The diverse curriculum spans from 'Mommy-and-Me' classes, to recreational fun, to high-caliber competitive teams. With a strategic focus on school partnerships, PDC will prepare dancers for the next level, ensuring they are ready to conquer college auditions and professional dance careers.

As they prepare to open in the early spring of this year, we had the opportunity to sit down and chat with the studio owner and the creative director. Let’s get to know more about these powerhouse ladies. Meet April and KayDianna.
April is the Founder and Studio Owner of Passion Dance Center. Drawing on two decades of corporate leadership at Oracle and a background in professional performance, she’s blending business savvy with a creative heart, and helping girls step into their spotlight. Supported by her husband, Darren, and twin daughters, Luci and Sydni, she has a deep desire to be used by the Lord to change lives. Her and her family live in Celina and want the community to know that Passion Dance Center is more than just a business; it’s a place where families are welcomed.
KayDianna is the Creative Director at Passion Dance Center. She is a mentor, wife, and former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. She is a true master of her craft and brings unrivaled professional precision and an electrifying ability to inspire everyone around her. Her goal? To ensure every dancer feels seen, known, and empowered to lead both on and off the stage.
At Passion Dance Center, dance is more than an art form - it’s a powerful tool for change. Together, this team is dedicated to pouring into the lives of young girls and guiding them toward their brightest futures.
