This Labor Day weekend, Colorado Springs balloon festival Labor Day Liftoff celebrates half a century with three days of exciting events in Memorial Park. In addition to hot air balloon rides, attendees will enjoy concert series, drone shows, various food vendors and more. Admission is free, but add-ons are available for those looking to enhance their experience. Consider the Liftoff Lounge ($150 per adult, $75 per child), which includes access to a tent overlooking the balloon launch field, complimentary meals, drinks, preferred parking and other amenities.
Arrive to the park by 6:30 a.m. each morning to catch the 7 a.m. takeoffs, where dozens of balloons will inflate, launch and soar through the skies until 9 a.m. On Saturday and Sunday, evening launches begin at 7:30 p.m. Family-friendly entertainment throughout the weekend also includes aerialists, interactive mystery experiences, remote-controlled balloons and thrilling demonstrations by the Wings of Blue team from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
