Adventure Canine Training is known for its thorough dog-training and boarding services year-round, but the company infuses extra cheer into the Christmas season, too.
Ducky is the beloved female German Shepherd and Black Russian Terrier mix that founder Brooke O'Brien adopted from a shelter in Hartsville. Ducky had been surrendered for being too hyper, but O’Brien saw potential. Now, the four-legged companion is O’Brien’s “superstar,” appearing in commercials for companies like Tractor Supply Co. and Amazon.
Ducky’s acting career does not end there. From commercials to local roles as some of entertainment’s most notable characters, Ducky brings fluffy joy to the screen and to gatherings.
She has played the role of Sandy in a local production of the musical “Annie” and crowd-favorite Max from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” at holiday events.
O’Brien recounts bringing Ducky—wearing her antler—to last year’s Gallatin Christmas Parade. One of the floats had a Grinch theme, and all of the characters were there but Max. Ducky filled the role without hesitation.
“Everyone fell in love immediately!” O’Brien says. “She took pictures with kids and definitely enjoyed the extra attention!”
Now, Ducky is ready to bring that same festive cheer to local gatherings.
“She is a professional and has impeccable manners with children, so we are hoping to give her more opportunities to play the part of Max at Christmas-themed events this year,” O’Brien says.
Ducky is available for holiday appearances and events throughout the Nashville area. Email booking@adventurecaninetraining.com for more information.
Of course, Adventure Canine Training will continue to serve pet owners throughout the holiday season. O’Brien recommends reaching out as soon as possible to coordinate boarding services since spots fill quickly.
