Coming from 15 years in the travel industry, Susan shares about her expertise, “I started out as a flight attendant and then travel agent. Then I ended up working for wholesale travel companies and I had great jobs. I would go anywhere! One job, for example, I educated travel agents on how to market products. I’d take them on fam trips, which were familiarization trips. So, I would wine and dine them and show them all our destinations. I was a host. So, that’s what I like to do! I liked to host and this goes hand in hand with hosting from my travel days.”
Susan has a heart for community, meeting new people and creating smooth transitions home to home. She shares, “The first family I helped, they had one of those power pack batteries explode in their kitchen while they were sleeping, and their house caught on fire. It was the first insurance family that I helped. It was within the first few months of having my properties. They were probably in my property for 8 months, but instead of going to a hotel, they could stay in one of my cozy three-bedroom two-bath houses.”
Her heart to organize the details and host her clients creates a seamless experience while moving. She explains, “People are displaced for a little bit when they’re relocating. Moving is one of the most stressful things you can possibly do in your life. Relocating to another state is even more stressful. But having a place to relax in is great, so I always make sure people are comfortable. Anything you need that you typically have at your house, you have in one of my fully furnished homes.”
Cozy Colorado Furnished Rentals also provides tours for people relocating. Susan says, “As realtors, we’ll pick them up and drive them around, providing a car if necessary. They can look at new areas, houses. Once they find something, then they can stay in one of my fully furnished homes until they close or until their house is built.”
